“If you’re a food lover go there. My fellow diner that evening was Toby, who told the whole restaurant that the kebab, infused with aniseed, one of the best he’d ever eaten. I can’t say the same for the cabbage dish because I’ve never eaten it before but it could easily become a favourite. More aromatic than an Italian dish, it had benefit of being far better balanced in terms of healthy eating.
Jola’s is a welcome addition to the Irish gastronomic scene and shows that Kinsale is possibly adapting faster than other parts of Ireland to the possibilities out there.”

The Word
“It was down Kinsale way that I enjoyed one of best meals I've ever had. If ' the times they are changing' then Jola's Restaurant is example of culinary revolution taking place in Ireland”

“The steak, like the goulash, was deliciously tender according to my companion, and the red wine sauce was rich in flavour but not heavy.
Another big hit were the potatoes accompanying our mains. We couldn’t put our finger on why a simple side dish of baby potatoes with herbs was so tasty. Attention to detail was our overall impression of Jola’s Restaurant.
Everything from the menu, the spacious table layout, fresh roses in the bathrooms and the décor have been carefully chosen and perfectly executed.
Truly fine dining in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere which is not be missed.”

Our Pick “With its double-height ceiling, expose brick walls, stunning chandelier and warm brown tones, Jola's brings a dash of metropolitan style to Kinsale. The food is equally adept, confidently marrying Eastern European and Irish cuisine...Nothing on the menu will disappoint you.”

“You are hit with a sense of elegance and style from the moment you view the towering stone wall and crystal chandelier.
The two bites that I was allotted from my husband were enough to convince me why he was being so territorial with his soup. If I clapped before I nearly wept when I tasted my cheese and onion pierogi. The four darlings, I mean dumplings, were hand made with love …
The evening’s drinks menu will also boast a delightful assortment of cocktails and selection of vodkas to choose from.”

“Branch on Sunday is a real treat… and most amazing mango tart that Jola made her self.”

“Integrating seamlessly into the famed gourmet town, it exemplifies this ‘ new Ireland’ we inhabit, bridging an increasing cross-selection of cultures, all under the one menu, if you will. It offers a delicious an extensive menu…
The Rack of Lamb was cooked to perfection. Rich, tender and succulent, it’s flavour was offset by the pesto.
The Lemon Sorbet with Zubrówka Wódka almost proved to perfect end to a fine meal, its cold, refreshing texture and flavour cleansing the palette.”

“We were fortunate to happen upon Jola’s Restaurant as we walked a back street to Kinsale’s town center. It struck us that in Ireland, the home of hospitality, Jola’s hospitality was second to none. And in Kinsale, the gourmet capital of Ireland, the food at Jola’s was superb. After our meal, the hospitality continued on Jola’s back patio as we enjoyed spiced vodka under the stars. We truly feel we discovered a precious gem on the Emerald Isle – Jola’s.”

“Jolas is a new restaurant for Kinsale. Any restaurant that now opens in the heart of Ireland's culinary Capital would have to have a uniqueness in order to stand out. Jolas is just that! It is one of the most intimate and friendly restaurants I have enjoyed in recent times. The cuisine is on par with Kinsale standard's but with a lovely Polish touch. The very fine Polish vodka after dinner hits all the right spots. If you wish to find a restaurant where you will be treated like a king or queen, look no further!!!”

The first thing that I would say that we appreciated was the uniqueness of the surroundings. We were greeted warmly and promptly and thought the table presentation was lovely. The serving staff have all been attentive and knowledgeable about the food, which arrived with a very nice presentation. The various dishes we have sampled were good and the ambiance of the jazz music floating around the building enhanced the atmosphere. The garden is also to be experienced, unfortunately the weather wasn't too cooperative!
